Intermediate Tactical Pistol and Rifle
Live Fire | Outdoor Range | 3–4 Hours / Half-Day
The Intermediate Tactical Pistol and Rifle course advances students’ live-fire skills through dynamic, timed drills. Instruction focuses on shooting under controlled stress, transitioning between targets and firearms, and applying movement and cover techniques in a safe outdoor range environment. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, speed, and disciplined firearm handling while engaging multiple targets at varying distances.

Required Equipment

Rifle and/or pistol, legally owned and properly sighted

Magazines for each firearm (minimum of two for pistols)

150–200 rounds of reliable ammunition per firearm

Rifle sling securely attached to the rifle

Handgun holster and sturdy belt (for pistol; shoulder/cross-draw holsters prohibited)

Eye and ear protection (electronic preferred)

Notepad and pen for notes

Shoes or boots (no open-toe) and appropriate outdoor attire

Water and weather-appropriate gear

Prerequisites
Students should have completed Basic Rifle Marksmanship, Basic Pistol Marksmanship, or Combined Rifle and Pistol Course, or possess equivalent experience. All participants must demonstrate safe handling and operational competence with their firearm prior to participation.
