Rifleman’s Frocks are loose-fitting, fringed coats modeled after those worn during the French & Indian War, Revolutionary War, Lewis & Clark’s Corps of Discovery, by militia groups in the War of 1812, and by Brisbane’s Regiment of the South Carolina Militia in the 1836 Seminole War.

Crafted from historically accurate fustian cloth, this natural-colored, pre-washed fabric is a perfect weight for durability and can be dyed if desired. Patterned after period examples and illustrated in Sketchbook ’76 and The Frontier Rifleman, each frock features an open front, cape, and pre-pulled fringe.

Loose-fitting with ample length, it’s an ideal outer garment for reenactors from the mid-18th century through the Fur Trade era. The frock is shipped undyed, ready for your personal finishing touches.
